Jelly Bean To Be Served Soon To Your Plates!

It wasn't long enough when quite a few people around us were covering up to get ready for Android 2.3.x version on their smart-phones and 3.x version on their respective Android tablets. Then we heard the arrival of the most advanced version of Android. The version 4.0.x ; a.k.a Ice Cream Sandwich; code-named ICS. And before we knew what extra features it comes with, our friends were already postponing their plans and rather were happy to wait to get their hands on Ice Cream Sandwich. A few more searches in the later days and someone came up with the news that only one phone Galaxy Nexus would come with ICS pre-installed. SO the next step was to look for the phones in the market that are (or eventually would be) upgraded to ICS.
Jelly Bean
And all this was a mere 2 months ago. Now the rumors in the market are that Google is all set to release the next version of Android. Android 5.0; code-named Jelly Bean. ICS still hasn't made it everywhere and as we look in to Google support forums people are still worried about when their Nexus S, the second phone in the Nexus line, will be getting the ICS OTA (over-the-air) update. We are aware that xda developers have already released some builds to manually install the ICS on some phones. But since Google hasn't yet released ICS on all Nexus S (GSM ones, CDMA were yet late on this) worldwide, does it make sense to release another new version? We leave it to you to ponder over the matter!
Android usage data
According to Google released data, 2.3.x version of the OS is still dominating (around 58.6%) the Android market, with ICS at around 1%. It has already been 3 months since people around the globe are fuming over the non-availability of 4.0.x on their smart-phones and here we are with another sweet dish code-name ready to be in the market somewhere in Q2 2012.
We however agree it was high time after 3.0.x that Google served a sweet dish that worked well between the tablets and the smart-phones users. But the stickiness of the search giant over providing a new version with the last version kept off air due to some non-stabilities is something we wonder wouldn't go too far. Google has been criticized in the past (as opposed to Apple) over not providing the new updates to existing/old users/smart-phones, so this issue we are sure is on their mind.
Regardless of these competitive issues arising out to handle the market in comparison to Apple and Microsoft, we would love to see what new features Jelly Bean is served with. I am sure people are thrilled about the face-unlock, the new font and the multitasking (apart from other features) that it introduced with the ICS release. anyone out there with the opinion on the timing of Jelly Bean, just feel free to let us know in the comments section here and as always, Happy Crunching!!
