This was in the pipeline for some time. Facebook has finally provided a way for business page admins on the site to be able to manage their pages on-the-go. The functionality hasn't been included in the native app, but rather a separate app comes in to picture; called the Facebook Pages Manager.
Sad for the Android users this Manager app is only available for iPhone(and iPod touch and iPad) users and there is no word on a version for Android. There is also a version requirement and you should be running on iOS 4.2 or later. The news comes as a sweet surprise for the page admins as they can now interact with their users while on-the-move. But it seems that while you will be able to manage your pages, the other features for search or other Facebook options are not available as yet. However you are able to manage multiple pages for which you are the admin while posting updates and photos from the account. Facebook has been in the mobile experience for the brand for quite some time and this is only going to help the cause.
The Manager app for pages works nearly like the native app that Facebook has for the individual profiles. It just has additional features for page management while admins can go along with other general features. So, you have the push notifications whenever any interaction happens on the page which obviously allows the page owners to be more quick in their interactions with the followers. This clearly means that you will have faster access to what your users react to and your users will have at the back of their mind to keep checking in case there is an update from you.
Exercise the usage on the manager app cautiously. While its handy to have the management of your pages at your fingertips all the time, and for all of the page admins, you all may end up spamming the users who liked your pages not mention the over-posting mode you may get into. The page owners are also able to view the insights information for all of their shared pages; again on-the-go. This was they are able to see the views, likes and the overall reach any post may be having. Pretty useful and something that obviously shouldn't have been missed considering how important insights are for business.
So enjoy the trending graph at the bottom and while there may be no exact numbers to rely on, the ups and downs are sure to provide you with a fair deal of what's hot and what's not!!
